Pro 120 eyeshadow palette or Manly eyeshadow palette?

They're both the same price, has anyone bought either of these? Scam?Pro 120 eyeshadow palette or Manly eyeshadow palette?
they are the same thing, and they are not a scam depending on where you purchase. I bought one awhile back and it works differently on different types of skin. I have oily skin so the pigment showed up on me but my sister has dry skin thats tan and it rarely showed on here. The purples on not really pigmented and they break easily - and when the break, the whole dang thing turns into powder. Also Ive found that it works best w/ the brush that is provided, but make sure you put lots of loose powder under your eyes b/c when applying, it gets everywhere (the eyeshadow)





Basically, yes you get a whole bunch of colors for cheap and yes they are pigmented for lighter skin tones but not really worth it to me. Also it takes like a whole month for them to arrivePro 120 eyeshadow palette or Manly eyeshadow palette?
Actually it is worse than a scam because both palettes are made by the same manufacturer in China and these products are subject to high contents of lead and chemicals. This is why they are so cheap but yet the health hazards to people wearing them is very HIGH.





I do not recommend these products at all the quality is very inferior and again just not worth the investment no matter how cheap it may seem.
Yes and no. You do get a palette with very small pots. So not a scam as far as that goes but you are getting what you paid for. Very little and made in China. FYI It is the exact same palette that Coastal Scents sells.

It should be okay to hand carry. But, if you want to check it in, wrap it in bubble wrap and keep it in between your clothes in your luggage... and make sure it doesn't move around.How to travel with a 120 color eyeshadow palette?
If it is international then you cant do it but if it is domestic you should be able to bring it.
I'm addicted to makeup...just to be safe, I always keep it in my checked luggage, just in case the airline is really strict. To protect it, I'll wrap the case in bubble wrap, or if I don't have any I'll wrap it in all the clothes in my case so that it's protected from bouncing around. I've never had a cracked eyeshadow or blush, and I fly a lot.

The 120 the shades barely differ from each other, quality sucks more, it's only decorative make-up, not for daily lide, not even for parties. Youll end up not using half of it.

the lightest brown goes in your crease


the darker brown goes over your lid

The white goes under your brow, to make it lighter. The black should go in the outer creases of your eyes and along the lashline. The brown below the white goes over that, and the brown below the black goes over the whole lid. Hope that helped!
Put the lightest whitish color all over. Use the lightest brown all over the lid from lash to crease. Make a ';V'; shape on outer corner of eyes with the medium brown shade, and extend that color into the crease. Line with the darkest brown.

dude it TOTALLY LASTS! If you use a primer/base underneath. Like I used my TFSI and then a small amount of NYX Jumbo pencil then I use pink as a few swatches on my hand. I forgot it was on there and like I had to do the dishes so my hands had to be in water like over 30+ times and the color of the pink eyeshadow was still so VIBRANT! I have the 88 matte palette btw
I have the 88 Shimmer one. i got it a few months ago and its great if you're starting out. its really pigmented but i found a few of my shadows to be powdery but when my sister got hers a few days ago all hers were fine. They work best with a base like urban decay primer potion. the colors stay true when put on and you dont need too much since its highly pigmented. I would say to get the shimmer one because my friend has the matte and she didnt like it as much because some of the colors didnt show up as well as the shimmer palette.
I have the Ultra Shimmer 88 pallette.


I love it. It works great.


It blends well and lasts long if you have a good base.


Its great for people just starting with makeup.

She probably created that palette out of depoting other mac eyeshadows and buying a empty palette to put them in, like alot of people do. You can get MAC eyeshadows from the MAC store or online...just go there and match up the palette colors from the video to the swatches on the site...or you can email her and ask her for what colors she used in the palette and hopefull she will reply. There a alot of tutorials on youtube teaching you how to depot the eyeshadows :)

Wales products are only found in Hong Kong %26amp; Singapore, which is the reason why most Wale Palettes you see from Ebay, the sellers are mainly from Hong Kong. So yeah..Ebay is the only place..unless you have a friend from Asia :P The palettes are very pigmented, and they last a long time. Another alternative is the 88 makeup palette from Coastal Scents, which is $21.95 and it's really good. Plus you can read reviews from other customers, I just bought myself 1 today :P

everyone (including me) usually hears its a coastalscents.com product but really coastal scents just sells it along with many other distributors... ebay has it and iv heard people getting it cheaper than retail on CS website. i bought both shimmer and matte palletes and i say they are 7/10 on my skin tone. but its a good investment for the price. before you buy it go to ebay and look up 120 palette... i think i should have got that instead. from youtube vids it seems to be more pigmented!

Yes, it's actually available at some of the beauty salons inside some of the SuperCenters %26amp; JCPenney's. Where ever they sell Matrix %26amp; better brand products they usually have BedHead.

I've heard mixed reviews about the coastal scents from my friends. I love them because they have empty pallettes that fit mac.





the main criticisms i've heard is that the shadows are too small.





the shadows have a moderate quality, better than covergirl, but it's nothing you'd get from sephora.





it costs about $20. If you like to change things up and use a lot of different colors i would recommend getting it if you'll be okay with the moderate quality. I would spend money on your favorite colors, but if you want to try something new, the coastal scents palette is perfect.

You can only buy the refills at the MAC store. If it's a MAC within a department store such as Macy's or Nordstrom, they won't have it. But the MAC stores will definitely have it for you. FYI, it's $10.50 per refill, a major savings compared to what they charge for an individual eyeshadow.

You'll be extremely hard pressed to find such a palette six years after release. If I were you, I'd put up a want ad or wishlist on http://www.MakeupAlley.com or http://Specktra.net and see if anyone who has it in their collection would be willing to sell it to you. You'll be lucky though!





You can still buy all but two of those colours individually from MAC, by the way. And the 2 colours that aren't available are easily dupable with other shades. (Do you really want a palette of six-year-old eyeshadow anyway??). I know it sounds expensive to buy them separately, but it may end up working out to be the same cost anyway, since a very rare MAC palette is also going to come at a high price.

YES! you can. i had the same exact problem when i went to europe. and i just showed the lady that is there when you check in your bag (not the one on the airplane but the one that goes underneath it if you get what i am saying) and she said it was fine! it is mainly like bottles rather then just lip gloss or eyeshadow(that is not volume btw)

Use a light color (lighter than your skin tone) as a base and apply that color from your lid up to your eyebrow. Use a brush or even your finger. Then use the darker color and brush it on the crease of your eyelid and then outwards and upwards towards the outside of your brow. The inside half of your eyelide/brow area should still be the pale shadow. Then blend slightly! If you want, you can have a third color in between too, but I think just these 2 make a nice look. I do it everyday!

Yeah they base all their eyeshadows off the MAC eyeshadows. I love it and I use it everyday. If I use a color alot then I just get the closest color from MAC. That way I buy eyeshadows that I know I'll use. Yeah the only ptoblem I have with it, is especially if your doing double colors like a dark shade on the edge of your eye, the eyeshadow gets on the side of your face. But put tape there and you can not only get a perfect line but also you can easily get the access eyeshadow off. Oh and the whole their made in china thing, yeah I think what people dont realize is the majority of your products are made in china. This is just the tip of the ice berg, also coastal scents doesnt hide the fact that it is actually not their product just a distributor. As long as your not planning on eating the eyeshadows, I think your safe from getting sick.Is the Coastal Scents 88 eyeshadow palette good?

No it is crap! Their stuff is made in China and imported. You could probably find another company there that sells the same thing because China will sell anything to anyone that can buy in large quantities. I would RUN from this and any makeup made in China!

The coastal scents matte palette does have some shades that are slightly shimmery. The name matte is very misleading for that palette. The shimmer palette has all shimmer shades while the matte has some shimmer shades.

I would try going to Coastalscents.com and buying one of their 120 palettes. They are good quality, pigmented shadows, and are a decent price for what you are getting.





The only thing is, I am not very pleased with Coastal Scents' costumer service. They seem to be rude to costumers if they seem to favor another brand (on YouTube-a video or something), or something dumb like that. But, also, don't expect shipping right away, because they are in very high demand, and it might be a few weeks. Maybe not. Just depends when you order it.

I don't know of any actual stores that sell palettes like that. Your best bet would probably be ebay.





And you can totally buy off of ebay if you don't have a credit card. Look for auctions that take money orders. You can get money orders from wal-mart, or from your local post office. Just let the seller know that you're going to use a money order, and you need to know who and where to send it to.





Or, if you find out how much the palette would cost after shipping from a place like coastalscents.com, you can always go buy a visa gift card for that amount (or maybe a couple dollars more, just in case) and use that. You can buy visa gift cards just about anywhere. I know they sell them at some grocery stores, and most drugstores.

I have brown eyes too and found that putting gold eyeshadow and a dark purple makes my eyes 'pop'. I recommend HIP by Loreal. They're not too expensive and have nice colors.
Revlon has a green palette that really compliments brown eyes. Also, try Revlon ';Wild Orchids'; palette.

You can only buy the refills at the MAC store. If it's a MAC within a department store such as Macy's or Nordstrom, they won't have it. But the MAC stores will definitely have it for you. FYI, it's $10.50 per refill, a major savings compared to what they charge for an individual eyeshadow.

I would try going to Coastalscents.com and buying one of their 120 palettes. They are good quality, pigmented shadows, and are a decent price for what you are getting.





The only thing is, I am not very pleased with Coastal Scents' costumer service. They seem to be rude to costumers if they seem to favor another brand (on YouTube-a video or something), or something dumb like that. But, also, don't expect shipping right away, because they are in very high demand, and it might be a few weeks. Maybe not. Just depends when you order it.

Hi there. I've heard that MAC eyeshadow palettes are very good for creating smoky eyes, but upon viewing the website, even single colours are approx 拢10. So Loreal used to own MAC, but then MAC branched off. Well after they did, Loreal came up with HIP makeup. It's the same thing as MAC, chemistry wise. You can learn how to do the makeup tricks and just use other types of make up. Also only buy directly from the store. I used to work of a cosmetic company at a department store and some of the girls used to take the used and tester items and sell those on ebay. I don't have the palette, but I do own Tigi eyeshadow in Romeo, a dark chocolate brown. It's really pretty to use as a base or use wet as eyeliner, but it's very matte.

I like the Warm set. I have pink/cool skin undertones, so the opposite is the warm - stands out more. These colors look great on me. I normally don't stray from the cool!

They are great for the price.. so pigmented and long lasting.. easily blendable as well. I use these all the time on clients for bridal work.. the colors are so varied and look great ( not ';muddy'; ).. i highly suggest trying this one out.I want to try the coastal scents neutral eyeshadow palette?
I've heard that they are pretty pigmented but not quite up to par with MAC and Nars. Try checking for reviews on YouTube, I'm sure there will be some that can help you make your decision.


The palettes aren't that expensive, though, so you should give it a try anyway.
yes, all the pallets i've tried from coastal scents have worked amazing for me. they're fairly cheap compared to like the mac shadows, and they are really, really pigmented. I highly recommend this pallet, I've had no problems with it at all.

It's not a MAC palette, the most MAC shadows that are in a palette are 15, and those are the ones you make yourself by buying the palette and then the eyeshadow pans. The most premade in a palette right now are 6, however some older ones had 7-9 shadows.

i have one. the eye shadows are very pigmented with no base on it but its good to use a base so the colors stick. the only thing i do not like about the eye shadows is they are very chalky and when i swatch-ed them after i was wowed by the pigmentation i wiped it away and color came off quicker than you can say ';hi'; LOL but seriously !

The 88 color eyeshadow pallete sounds good to me. I think I actually know which ones you're referring to. I've had my eye on the one from http://www.redgingercosmetics.com for a while. It's supposed to be marked down to $25. It was advertised in the back of my mom's In Touch mag. I think it would be great for year round use because there's practically every color of the rainbow and then some.

I love my Coastal Scents palettes!


I have the 88 matte, the 26 combo palette and the 28 neutral palette. The color payoff is amazing, comparable to my MAC shadows. The packaging is a little cheap, but its OK.


You always want to use them with a primer, though. That will make the colors brighter, ou need less and it stays on all day. I use Too Faced of Paula Dorf, but the one Coastal Scents sells should be good too.


It's true you can get the same palettes on ebay for a few bucks cheaper but I'd rather spend an extra $5 and know that they'll arrive esafely and it will be replaced if it arrives broken. Plus they usually have sales on the weekends (different items every week) so you can get a good deal.


I love my CS palettes, they're almost all I ever use and I own a LOT of makeup! There's every color you'll ever need and you can't beat the price.Does anyone know if this Coastal Scents 88 Eyeshadow Palette is any good?
I got the original (some sparkle, some not) and I really liked it! It had a ton of great colors. They are smaller then you think they are, about the size of a dime. The colors are pretty pigmented although you'll want a good brush to use with it, the applicators that come with the palette aren't that great. If you are looking for a lot of different shades of colors then this is your palette, but they are NOTHING like MAC quality, you will get considerably more fallout and less staying power. If you do decide to get this make sure that you pat the colors on to ensure the best application. You might want to try the NYX brand, a little closer to MAC, but much cheaper. Has anyone used or bought the 120 color eyeshadow palette?

You cant buy them online, the UK MAC site only has the Quad pallette. You can however buy them at any freestanding store (not counters in selfridges, House of Fraser etc) If you dont have a freestanding store near you (use the MAC site to see if you have) then you can phone a pro store and buy one over the phone.





I bought one the other day and it was 拢15.50 (the MAC prices have just increased so it may be a tad more now, which isnt bad at all considering you can save 拢2.50 for every pan shadow you buy.)


The good news is that the pro pan shadows are now available on the maccosmetics.com

sephora has this pallete with like 22 different colors.. its sorrta small but you can test out the colors and when you find some you like you can buy the bigger ones... it always has two blushes ans 12 lip glosses
go to a drugstore and get the exact eyelights. cheap a great palette that brightens your eyes

If you're looking for something cheap (cheaper than mac etc. anyway), there's the coastal scents palette. It has 88 colours and you can get it shimmery or matte.

Drugstore makeup also has some good shimmery palettes. I found one by Rimmel the other day. Very pretty colours- it was at Walmart.

Lots of lines have great palettes.





Mac- great products not too bad on the wallet.





Bobbi Brown- okay if you want a more natural look





Dior- if you have money to burn and Quality is of the up most importance





But for my money Coastal Scents would be the way to go. CS shimmer palettes have LOADS of colors, great value for product and not hard on the wallet. :D

idk about 120 manly... but i have the 88 coastal scent's shimmery palette and it's really awesome and it would last a long time because the pigments are very good so you only need to use a little color and still get something bright and vivid. the 120 definitely looks brighter in terms of pigmentation. but usually when there are more colors the quality is decreasede. the 88 piece is a little duller but probably better quality

I heard each well in th Coastal Scents palette is only the size of the dime, but there are so many shades in each color... and I heard they're comparable to MAC in quality sooo... another thing is they say the color is matte for the 88 piece one, so they made a ';shimmer'; version of the 88 piece palette, that might not be sold out.

Can anyone recommend a good eyeshadow palette?

I have been looking at the sephora blockbuster palette and the coastal scents palette 88 but they look the same! has anyone used either one or both ? can someone point me in the right direction? I'm a HUGE fan of the coastal scents 88 palette. Since I can't afford the more expensive makeup brands or tons of different colors, for 21.95 it's perfect! The pans may seem a little small, but trust me - it'll last a long time. Plus, they are highly pigmented and will last a long time, I washed my hands trying to get a swatch off - nothing. Then got a shower and washed it off, nothing. The colors were still there! I would recommend the 88 palette. But, coastal scents doesn't actually make the palette. You can go on ebay and search for 88 palette, it's cheaper.Can anyone recommend a good eyeshadow palette?

I just bought off of Ebay the 120 palette by Manly. Its AWESOME. The colors are super pretty, it stays on for a long time. Its very pigmented. I love it and it was about 30 with shipping and handling. Go to Youtube and search for it. It has a bunch of good reviews...
MAC palette for 50.00 dollars, cost a lot, but in the end its worth it...

No, they aren't the same size. And altough your couldn't buy a palatte that fits both, you could buy a palatte and press loose pigment from both brands.
